Description

Something done for work. From modeling and scene set-up, to these quick renders all done in just under 14 hours. Not very happy with the surfacing and the slap on clip mapped trees. I hope to be able to fix all these things (including actual modeling of the background buildings). All things considered, not too bad as the clients were happy with the quick turn around and the variety of options made available to them. Modeled and rendered in LightWave 3D. Backgrounds are digital images, Foreground trees are clip mapped polygons, most textures used for the buildings here are procedurals. Thank you very much for dropping by to look.

Looks awesome! Think I like the top right the best. Be sure to post some pics if it ever gets built.;) Tell your clients that they should have some trees on the roof, that'd be cool.;0) Great work, buddy!

Hey Moe, must be a great job to design for companies. Anywhoo I like the third one down on the left column. If the scenery around the area is similiar, the building will blend better with nature and seem more like a rock nesteled in its home, than a building taking up space.
Muhahahaha - heheh MUHAHAHAHAHAAA

Nummer one is my favorite. Some spots of color lighten of skylines and I value every building that is not all grey. :D

Thanks for the input. :o) Clients have asked us to try a few more options. We're already under construction on site - piling is ongoing, diaphragm walls shortly. Hopefully, I will be able to post a photograph in about 18 months.

Not a fan of the trees, but as you said clip maps, and they're not really the focus anyway, so they're probably fine ;) This kind of pre-vis is some amazing stuff these days...build it before you build it. Nice to see what you do for your day job, keep up the good work Moe!

Why don't you show us the building as it is being built. I would really be interested in seeing the timeline development of it!!

Cool building, Moe. Yeah, the trees do look a bit ugly but that's what happens when you're running to a deadline. Damn impressive for 14 hours. Would take me months, then another month to add the horde ;)

Great stuff Moe, love seeing your 'real world' work stuff. @petes: Moe's a master at the intricasies and detail, as I found out when converting some of his models, 200,000000 rivet heads, 40,000 screws, 250 buttons, 300 switches and 3 months in a well lit padded room and there you go, one converted model.... LOL only kidding Moe, maybe not that detailed but thats only coz you don't have the time. 8)
