I have to agree with Rodolfo, this has a definate impact for the one viewing it. Yes, she has the look of resignation, but I dont get the sense of a slave ... so to speak. This is very well done and the thought behind it is great. Well done

I didn't see this as a sexual or a gender based image; just as an image representing the word. As such, it achieves the aim perfectly. As a piece of work, it's wonderfully well executed, particularly the hair.
