Description

(writing that started as a poem and evolved into a song) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chorus: Little clouds of swirling dust Rise up to obscure; little clouds of swirling dust hide the end of the lure; little clouds of swirling dust make it all seem okay; little clouds of swirling dust are trying to sweep us away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There's loads of passion in the fray; My life is filled with laughter; I refuse to have it any other way, No matter what comes after. You reappear, friend, and step in there; You look different to before, And no matter how I try, I despair At trying to close that door. You use your words in such a way, that you're driving me so wild. We seem unable to stop the play, I feel like so much of a child. We're tempting and we're taunting; We're enjoying feeling good; We're flirting and we're flaunting; Even though not sure we should. I'm flying high above the earth, Carried by euphoric buzz; The world seems laid out at my feet, then along it comes, the fuzz. There are so many reasons to say no, to prevent this from going on. There is only one reason to stop and throw Caution to the wind, and be one. There are so many factors telling us To stop and think about it. Just one small part saying "what's the fuss?" And, "can you live without it?" In the end, it's very hard To know what to do; It could be time to drop my guard and talk about it with you. The problem is I like you, and respect you so much; It can never be too simple, Can't just be about touch. You've given my world a smile. Even if it does seem selfish, I'd like to hold that for a while; I'd like to sup more from this dish. It seems we're at a crossroads, With a decision to be made; We need to drop down our loads; through the dilemma wade. There's loads of passion in the fray; My life is filled with laughter; I refuse to have it any other way, No matter what comes after. There's loads of passion in the fray; My life is filled with laughter; I refuse to have it any other way, No matter what comes after.

Very 'do-able' as a song: it has a strong lyrical rhythm and is carefully constructed without any 'weak' points. Excellent.
