Description
The Zero was modeled by me in Rhino. The P40 I believe came from silverings.co.uk by way of turbosquid. The smoke column was modeled in Rhino and the explosions in Amorphium Pro.

i build this tigershark as monogram 1/48 kit lol great render and modeling only point is the black in the explosions could be a little more transparent
GROINGRINDER
Thanks for commenting. I love the Monogram models and 1/48 is a nice size too.
Bungalo
Jez... these fires looks killin' great!!! But fix the lightning on the green chaser... there's something wrong...
GROINGRINDER
Thanks Bungalo, but please be more specific on the lighting issue. Are you talking about the cannon fire coming out from in front of the cockpit?
pidjy
Excellent.. the explosions are great!.. the P40 is a great model and you made a real good work on the "zero".; I got both models in a 1/32 scale (and many others models from the WWII) .. as Bungalo said, check the color of the zero. By the way if you like aeronotic I can gives you many informations as I work for 2 Europeans magazines : air&cosmos and Interavia. Cheers and a vote!
GROINGRINDER
Thanks a bunch, the zero came in many different colors depending on time and place of deployment perhaps I need to add some ambience to lighten it up some??
TheBryster
One of the best battle scenes I have ever seen! You've got EVERYTHING right. I love it! VOTE!
GROINGRINDER
Thank you very much TheBryster!

Very good modelling and composition. Maybe some motion blur on the planes can add feeling of action on the scene. But excellent picture nevertheless !
gregsin
Great Image! Love the pov and lighting. The only suggestion I can give is maybe the zero needs to be a shade darker. I'm working on a pearl harbor scene, although I haven't looked at it since I had a cornea transplant (colors look different now) I think the green zero's were a little darker. Keep up the good work.
Incarnadine
This is great! Well done. The zero feels a little funny colour-wise but that is trivial. The explosions, smoke and atmoshphere are top drawer stuff IMO.
BOOMER
Looks great, GG. A little more lighting on the Zero and you'll have it nailed. It looks a little darker than the P-40 in front of it.
danamo
Excellent battle scene! The explosions, smoke-trails and other "pyrotechnics" have improved a great deal since your first WIP. Excellent Zero model too, but I have to agree that the color, or lighting seems just "a tad" off on it.
Quest
The models and the smoke are great and explosions are phenomenal. Good action scene!
GROINGRINDER
Thanks everybody! I am working on getting a better ambience on the Zero model. There is a foreground light below the P40 to simulate an explosion that is throwing EXTRA LIGHT ON THE FRONT OF THE P40.
Teyon
VEry cool scene and great use of multiple programs!
GROINGRINDER
Thank you Teyon.
shadowdragonlord
Aye, awesome use of Amorphium and Rhino, and of course of Bryce! The planes are a little TOO close together for comfort, but that's the point, Aye!?!? I really like your zero model, GG. Good stuff!
tom271
