Description
About a week ago Radio Free Europe announced that it would cease transmissions in certain East European nations that were formerly under Communism. Funded by the American Congress, RFE or Radio Liberty brought unbiased news and stories, often in the mother tongue of the people listening in. They were banned by most Communist systems as 'western lies and propaganda.' Strange, that when the Berlin wall fell, Radio Liberty was the only one who told the people behind the Iron Curtain about it. The radio underneath is something I modelled myself. Because the newer radios brought in to my country during Communism were physically stopped from winding the tuner to the RFE frequency, we listened to the old 20s and 30s style radios instead. Long live freedom!

I agree with tjohn, I sometimes take my past for granted, not looking to much to others, and something like this model (thank you) and the story puts things in persective. Excellent

I really like the radio, awesome background and story. Excellent render. Only thing I'm not 100% on is the choice of enclosure. (the stone dealy). Other than that, I really like this image.

Freedom of information is something that should be cherished as is the first amendment in the United States, Not taken for granted or extinguished. Awesome concept and render.

A reminder that much of what we take for granted is not available to all, as it should be. Thanks for this image and the details of history. I like the actual rendering, layout and modeling, too!
