Let's hope you don't ever have to protest against something, and then a big truck filled with 'good guys' with some of these come for you. Anyway, nice image.

The general execution and modelling work does not look bad, but it is not very convincing yet. It doesnt really look like something that is usefull to handle and easy to hold. The ammo looks a bit strange and I am missing visible projectiles. Cartridges tend to have them stuck in from the front. You should also spend a bit more time on ergonomics and how it is supposed to be used. All in all, nice work.

And have you ever asked yourself, what the "science" in "science-fiction" could probably mean? I totally agree with both of them.

I like this image. Science fiction is exactly that....FICTION! This is not a realistic image of a gun, of course not, it is an expression of creativity and uniqueness. Great job Xero, don't get discouraged.

To follow up on VOID's comments, one of the things I find very useful in modelling is to think through the functionality of the model before beginning. If you do this, your design will look much more convincing. Also, if you are going to model a gun or a car or an airplane or a steam engine, you should at least become familiar with the operation of these devices. Otherwise your model doesn't make a lot of sense. As someone intimately familiar with firearms, I am usually quite confused when I look at models of guns, since they often bear no resemblance to actual firearms. ... I thought you were asking for helpful comments? No? Very well, I'll play the game: ... Ohhhh, great job! I love the use of color and light! Keep up the good work! ... Hope that helps.

Don't let the comments get you discouraged Lygher, guns are one of those subjects (next to cars) where people get very very critical of everything ;) I think you accomplished exactly what you set out to do, and that was to model a gun. Only thing I would suggest is the scope on the side (I'm assuming it's a scope), maybe position it on the top, and do an angled render of the gun aimed slightly toward you (instead of laying down on the surface like it is in the top pic), that may create a more powerful effect.

Well, this one needs lots of improvement to even come close to a convincing looking gun. The ammo does not look like ammo, I have not even the slightest idea how I would try to grasp the thing and the using the scope must be an impractival nightmare. Not nearly as cool as some of your spaceship designs.
