Description

This is a pencil portrait of one of my former students. She was at death's door with cancer just two years before and here she is now. Her hair grew out, so I just had to do a portrait of her.

Your work is so inspiring! It makes me want to take up the pen and pencil again.
I felt a stir of strong emotion when I saw this, as though this portrait had a pathos behind it~ then I read the words and understood.

This is a beautiful drawing, so soft and sensitive. the way you have treated your medium is perfect for the subject matter. I can't see any pencil 'marks' on the face at all - it is so smooth and realistic - truly a flawless drawing!

Oh yes, super work here of a lovely model, sensitively rendered. Glad to hear she's okay, and (given that this is almost a year later) hope this is still the case :-)
