Description

I am still trying to learn to use acrylic paints. I did this wolf in acrylics on masonite board and used some acrylic sculpture paint to make it more three dimentional. Since I don't really know what I am doing, it is kind of rough, not as smooth and as detailed as the rest of my wolves. I would appreciate any comments that would help improve this piece. Thanks, Lorraine

I have had little experience with Acrylic.I generally work with oils. But, i honestly thing you have done a wonderful piece. I keep saying to myself, "practice makes perfect(or as close as I'll ever get). Excellent art.

teh fur results rich, and his expression again is priceless. the composition is magnificent. I can't think of not a single way you could make this better. To me it doesn't exist "better" than this :)

I would love a larger upload to realy see this image, but what i can see of it is excellent, as Artzy mentioned, you can see the textures and almost touch them. Keep up the great work your doing and dont ask silly questions like 'can you improve it'......ITS PERFECT NOW!

as said, this is an excellent painting, luv your ideal to bring out the texture of the trees giving it yet another dimension... your animals are always so exquisite to view, you have certainly mastered the acrylics & luv to see how you tackle & strive with each medium you choose to work with, perfecting your technique :]

Just came across this painting. It's great. I love the So called "rough" texture you speak of. It adds another dimension to the animal, gives it a character that expresses his "wolfness"
