Description

Taken at Fountain Bowl in Huntington Beach, California in mid December. I hand held the camera and took a short exposure (but long enough for the effect) and zoomed with the lens as I took the photo focusing on the pins. Came out better than I ever thought it could! Camera is a digital Minolta Dimage 7hi (5 MP). This image has been shrunk down to 33% of the original full size. Manual Focus, custom White Balance, Priority to Shutter mode for the exposure time.

nice image man - like the title too. i think i have to try this technique - like panning, etc - it is def a good exercise in increasing your photography skills, even if the same effect can be done post production or not. excellent! :o)

Awesome! I have a shot of trees just like this one... I couldn't for the life of me figure out how I'd done it but when I saw this one it clicked and I remembered my marina shots where I'd twisted my zoom lense in and out during the shot - this is an amazing effect!!!
