Description

"During the Night Wars, Ri'aka Keep had anchored the Army of the North's defensive lines. By the time they were finally pushed back, the surrounding fields had run red with the blood from both sides. Some 300 years have passed since those wars slipped into the shadows of history, but soon, the ruins of Ri'aka Keep will once again anchor the defensive lines of the north..... for Zrie's army was closing." Image 7 in a series of (what was originally only) 5. A bit different in style to some of the other images in the series - had to get a certain new years resolution out of the way fast ;) For those who are interested, the grass is about 2000 transmapped 2d picture objects spread randomly over the field. Many thanks to various people in the rosity chat room for useful suggestions. Please let me know what you think and thanks for taking the time to look/comment and for all your support. Cheers, and have a great new year :)

Well, it might be a different style and not have TONS of people etc. in it. But it is still a very fine piece of artwork! And the grass is great!

inspirational as always mate :) i would probably make the sky blood red-ish as a symbolic reminder of the bloodbath that happened ages ago and to give it more dramatic look but that's just my preference. awesome landscape as always mate :)

how did I miss this?? Really--incredible work man, the composition is amazing, I love the panoramic effect, and the feeling that you are standing there with him, looking over the plains. which btw are insane, how did you do all of that grass!?
