Superb! I wish you hadn't cropped out the bottom of this image. It would really be interesting to see a wireframe of this model (lots of magic bevel?). And your lighting settings look really cool as well.

thanks to all :)..this was one of my first images done, it was to learn some texturing and lighting (no modeling at all, the object is x-frog generated). colours are from colored lights, the "strange" background are the reflections of the object on the surrounding glass ball.
