Don't forget Cassie that you're a tower of strength for us too: I can't put a value on the wise support you've given me this year when I've been turning myself inside out. You still help me here so much. I know about and relate very closely to the self esteem issues you have, but I can only repeat again and again: you are beautiful and mustn't beat yourself down ever. If I can find a woman like you for a partner that would be a dream fulfilled... a bonus even. Matt's a lucky guy and he knows it :-)
Onto the image, it's so fitting that Bev should be the stylistic inspiration as we all could learn from her work. In the bird's corpse I see your previous life of suffering, a suffering that sadly continues through ill health and yet still your light is undimmed. Then the rejuvenated bird rising into the yonder, energy renewed through love. And still the recurrent theme of feathers that keeps cropping up in your work (check out her back gallery guys!). Simply another masterpiece as only your mind can create, deep and meaningful, and perfectly illustrating what the love of friends does to a person that's been broken too many times.
