Absolutely beautiful work Cassie, heck all anyone has to do is have a few words with Meli, and they will know how wonderful she is. I am a very skeptical Texan, did not believe there could be anyone as nice as her. That little lady sure proved me wrong!!!

This is a good image, but you make her eyes look old, meli is not old, but i think she'll love this image. :)

hi cassie, first you know what i think about your art, it is just fabulous and also are you as a person, this is a breathtaking portrait of meli, so now pleeeeeeeeeze do me one favour and tell me what happend to meli???? (had some problems myself with a guy who posted my work in another gallery) so i am really not up to date what happend in rosity - whats going on there?????!!!!!

You really set off an emotional bomb in me here, DAMN Cassie this is exquisite and so dramatic! I'm glad you went for a sea of Italian words in the end, it works better than the origami-ship did, so much more effective and mesmerizing, and somehow more appropriate to Meli's studious nature. I'm glad you kept the lighthouse in the end, the new positioning works well and the flight of steps is such a brilliant final touch! The rain and waves are also very well done, and as for her hair, well, I can feel such a tender sense of love in your rendering. Please please please honey, you mustn't tear yourself apart doubting the merits of your art, not when you can play a blinder like this gorgeous work! You know I put you in the top 5 best artists here, and for me this is unofficially the best portrait of our angel by anyone so far! And that's not just because I'm biased LOL
To the world outside... there are occasional instances of Meli being flamed behind her back, via comments left under her comments. By a tiny minority thankfully, mentioning no names. I just want to say that they obviously don't know Meli properly at all, as like Cassie says she's for real and she has a complete life outside of online stuff, really she doesn't concern herself with the social climbing and politics here, truly she doesn't need it. She truly doesn't care about being popular here, and the fact that she is is just testament to her being a nice, supportive, humble and kind person, not from "comment for comment" syndrome, not from social bargaining. She is here to associate with artists, develop her own skills (which she'll never acknowledge!) and give encouragement to "newbies", and frankly, to flame someone like her in this way is pretty pathetic to say the least, and speaks volumes not about her but about the perpetrators. Fakers basically.

Every bit of it is full of meaning and beauty, you are an exeptional artist!! Love the intensity of her face, as she almost bursts with all she have to say, and that sea of words below exaggerates this feeling. About that flaming (that I have not seen more of than just a little) it only mirrors the writer's jealous mind, not Melis. She is above that, shining from inside. I do feel all you do, but when you do this for me, showing me like only your soul can see , like only your eyes can perceive and like only your hand does, it makes me realize I truely have some angel's protection not merely on me, but inside me. Then the words. the love of you, and of Jim (oh dear.. you made me cry with your words under this...)and of all those who can really look with eyes and heart and not with their frustrations at people touches me like it can't be said, again. Cassie, I will simplify how I feel by simply agreeing with much of what Synapse said. First of all, this is an incredible work of art. The woman in this image, the much beloved Meli, is beyond compare in so many ways. Truly a one of a kind human being. I will never meet this woman in person, but I can tell you that she has my respect in so many ways... a blessed creature she is. Thank you for sharing this with us Cassie. Like Meli, YOU are a one of a kind as well. We can't let that go unsaid... you have my respect BIGTIME!!!

mmmmm i've run into gallimel before. or rather, she's run into me. i never had, or took the opportunity to get to know her as well as you seem to have, but i will take your word for what you say about her. this image alone, as gallimel herself said, is more felt than spoken.
