Description

Cinema 4D XL8 Fictional Heckler & Koch submachinegun. Design based on my HK-35 CLAW rifle. The HK-55 is a hydraulically compensated 5mm submachinegun, firing caseless ammunition. The name HK-55 is based on the HK name sheme. The first 5 indicates that it is a submachinegun (thus the HK-35 is the rifle, since 3 stands for assault rifle), the second indicates the calibre. I chose 5 for the 5mm CL ammunition, because 5 is not used in the HK naming sheme so far and it sounds logical for me to put a 5mm calibre on the number of 5. I repeat: The weapon is completely fictional.

Damn, what could I say now, that I haven't already said about the HK 35? grumblemumble Again a great piece of work. Interessting supressor design. I guess the thick part is ment to hold the the weapon?

The supressor has an expansion chamber on the bottom line. It is supposed to function as an extended grip and as an expansion chamber for the gas. That makes it possible to reduce the overall length of the supressor. It will not be really silent, but it will be hard to tell where the shots are comming from and it eats away the muzzle flash.

This "paintball dart" weapon with the rectalinear form suggests the new square (in plan)shape of armored and air defense vehicles. I assume they have some sort of active suspension. (se the new GD or the Oerlikon forms) Here with your weapon I wonder how it is charged and if it has lineage to the electric rail guns in the silencer. Shh! the walls have ears.

The mechanism of the G-11 system is semi-rotating and it is cocked by turning the knob on the side clockwise. The magazine moves along the barrel line along with the chamber and barrel while firing. The compensation can cope with the recoil of two shots before the mechanism hits the end of the gun and recoil takes effect.

I must comment that there is a grave inaccuracy here... Marlboro Menthols are never smoked by HK weapon enthusiasts (just kidding). I'm afraid I have completely run out of things to say about your amazing designs. Perfect.

yay, okay let's see...is there a laserpointer in the silencer? looks like it's thick enough...anyway, nice picture.

I seem to remember someone working on caseless ammo..would this be one of the models? thought about doing the Hk-90 (Stargate's current peacemaker), think I'll leave that to you..;)

You probably puzzled that with the Fabrique National FN P90. The FN P90 is not caseless. It fires downscaled 5,56mm ammo. The calibre is called 5,7mm FN. The only similarity between the G11 caseless system and the FN P90 is the top mounted magazine, but that is where it ends. Perhaps I will go for some more cased-ammo subcalibre submachinegun designs soon. I will let you know. ;)

I don't know squat about guns but I have to say that the idea of a square bullet is very interesting. Are there guns that actually use square bullets?? Very well modeled and rendered.

Hm. The textures look a little strange, but anyway a nealy perfect picture. WoW

Those are not square bullets. The bullet (the thing that shoots out of the barrel and kills) is of the same shape as ever, but there is no shell holding the bullet. It is encased in the propellant itself and that propellant block is rectangular. That maximizes the use of room in the chamber and in the magazine and keeps the ammo of small dimensions. I will make a diagram for clarification. :D

This is by far the best weapon posted on Renderosity. You should either make this weapon in real life or give us some more images of it! I saw it months ago, but came back today just to see it again.
