hi all...:) last one from me for a while..:( i have a heavy cold so have decided to stay home and finish this latest effort not quite happy with it ..but anyhows i was browsing the photo gallery here at rendero, when i spotted this owl picture by lasa i thought it would make a good alpha and lasa kindly consented to me using his pic if you want to check it out here is the link http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=569288&Start=433&Sectionid=8&filter_genre_id=0&WhatsNew=Yes the landscape was inspired by john william waterhouse(1849-1917)which i enjoyed doing in my collaboration with christie(djeser) credits go to....lasa for his incredible owl pic transpond scattered flowers the tall slim gnarled tree to the right of the owl was made by me in vue by stretching the old dead tree and filling the trunk with small maples sitting blue's stones fom his stonering toucan water lillies and finally avian birds hope you like it and thanks for stopping by a warm and happy new year to all my friends FOR MY SWEETHEART who i enjoyed the best xmas ever with xxx

Beautiful, somewhat surreal. Difference in light levels makes the owl have an almost magical glow, which is a touch of genius in my eyes (not a flaw!) and gives the whole scene personality and style. Also, your custom tree is pretty awesome. Get well soon!

What makes this stunning picture work, is the attention to lighting, you matched the lighting of the 2D owl, perfectly. And created a seamless merger between the 2D image, and the 3D image. Perfect!!!

Wonderful work! Superb lightning and landscape. Great scene composition. I like the large tree right behind the owl. The owl itself fits perfectly in the image. An Alpha as it should be.
