Description

0.1mm fineline pigment pen on writing paper cropped to 12x12cm, 6th January 2004 (no postwork) Took my new pens to work this morning so I could doodle in my lunch hour and practice the fineline techniques I used to work with quite regularly 10-15 years ago. After eating my packed lunch I grabbed some paper and settled down into a stream-of-consciousness doodle, not knowing what the hell I was going to do, very much the same approach as my digital doodles. I tried very much to keep in mind "if it sucks just carry on" and even if the result isn't anything to write home about (and it isn't) it still worked as a practice exercise at least. Thanks for your feedback :-)

hehe cool! And where were these fellas in December, lol? Interestingly, getting back to something done 10-15 years ago seems to be very rejuevenating. :)

em>@Varian:</em Ahem, yeah, back in December this sort of thing hadn't occurred to me as I was only trying to think of true animal hybrids, not pure strangeness such as this!
15 years ago I was doing similar kinds of things, also with fineliner pens, but these new ones are more humorous than those of old... not exactly intentional but hey ;-)

"Good morning and lovely to meet you!" Said Mr Snail to Miss Leech. "Aren't you glad Jim doodled us out or I would not have had such a pleasure." :) Love it buddy HUGS

Hum.. doodles are often things that are of the subconscious.Seems that your unconscious is happy and mayhaps shedding a shell. Or just having some fun.... Grins....
