Description

I am doing a study of the planets in our solar system and trying to make them in Terragen. As no man has been to any of these planets, I can only speculate what they are like. Here are the facts on planet Neptune. Please read it at http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/nineplanets/nineplanets/neptune.html, and thank you for viewing and feedback :)

Great image, but Neptune, like all gas giants, hasn'got real mountains, only mountain-clouds. Try to make those rose mountains more hazy and fluffy. The rest is very good!

Must agree to Calanthe, but for me this one is the best of your series! You are no robot camera on Neptune, you're human: with great imagination!

I better explain.. I had made an image without any terrain and one with fuzzy terrain, but they didn't look good! The reason I made these hills is for a pov, otherwise it looked very bland, lol! Thanks though for your excellent feedback! I do appreciate it very much ((hugs)) :)

Lets see, We have frozen pools of whatever, the gas clouds above reflect in the ice. The clouds being so large and heavy (frozen) hang close to the surface. Even gas gaints have some solids. This is the area to the left and down just south of the big blue spot. Yet to be explored.

Scientific accuracy and Terragen do impose their limits, but within that it is a great image.

Oh wow! WAY cool extraterrestrial terrain, Patt! I like the neat, fisheye lens effect in this and the reflection of the sky in the glass smooth water. (or is it liquid methane? - after all, this IS Neptune!) :>)
