BIOI started working with CG-graphics in all kinds of demos when I was about 8 years old.. I'm now 17 and has settled on the programs Photoshop and Vue Esprit. I've got XFrog 3.5 which I use to create my vegetation.
I also play music. I sing, play the guitar and the trombone. Spring 2005 I recorded a few numbers and mixed them on my computer. You can listen to a few tracks on my website,
I've got my own website. Here you can find a lot more info on me, more tutorials, free models, some of my own music, etc. Feel free to visit :)

Excellent picture! I'm amazed.

Great image Thomas, great fog and light. The only thing maybe: there are some copy/pasted trees that looks all the same, especially in the center part of the image. Maybe in rotating them a little...
TheWingedOne
Well, I can totally agree with all the above. No problem with the "wall-lookalike-trees" at all. It gives this image a very special look - great job, Thomas!

Wow. Guess what!!! I'm from Quebec! It really looks like the Appalachian for sure! You should do a winter version, as right now it's -42 C. Brrr. Your drawing brought me some warmth today:) Keep up the good work!

Gulp! That is bloody amazing. The mood of this is absolutely awe inspiring. If I could get vue to behave this way when I create something ... I'd probably be happier :-). So, when's the tut going to be available? LOL

The fog/mist has come out well as did the forest. The size and placement of the birds however is reallt superb!

Lovely image. Love your fog and mist, Thomas!

The mood is spot on in this creation. However, first impressions are often right, and like "Tintifax" and "MixedNut" I think the forest "layers" look a bit flat. Alphaplanes are a rational/"economical" way of making forests, but something should break the flatness. Well, anyway, this is very good and "professional" crafsmanship (but note: "professional" is NOT a term of flattery in my vocabulary - it means doing it for the outcome/money, as opposed to "amateur", which means doing it for the love of things.) Of course the picture deserves an excellent, the mood alone does it.

Good use of fog and haze thomas. The lighting has a nice early morning effect. Well done!

Thanks for commenting everyone! :) Concerning the "layering of the forest" I have to say that is the way the photo is. Besides... it's not that unrealistic. If each "layer" grows on a hill, it will look like layers :)
