Love the detail on the red bricks and their overlays. Looks like a great place to vacation and get away to.

very good image - one tip - try to work a bit with displacement, especially for the front wall. it looks to straight.

Great designe Lon, Though I'm afraid I have to disagree with most people here, since the briks and stone are not real at all. The stones of the outer wall are lined up too neat(IRL there is always some sort of 'wave'(best seen from above)), and lack 'bump'. The bricks also show no sign of depth. One should know that no brick is a neat cube. They all look like the pin-cushion symbol of a CRT screen, or they are bended in some other way. No matter how small this imperfection may be. It is always visible in the joint. Wish varies in thikness en makes waves along the wall. Your flora is excellent as always though :D. Thnx for sharing this render

There are some sharp edges in the foreground but the architecture is amazing with much details - well done!

I don't think Lon minds receiving some constructive crits along with the praise he obviously deserves. Meyhem, no offense man, but read the words above the comment box. "helpful comments for improving this image". I think Nerock was right on with his assessment. No brick is perfect, and stones absolutely don't make perfectly straight edges. I'm speaking mainly about the wall. If there's a stone at the edge of a wall, then the edge would be displaced, not perfectly straight. Lon, you don't have to take any of this advice, because your work is superb regardless, but it's there if you want to ever use it. That's one of the great things about this forum. It's a sad day when we can't give constructive crits along with glorious praise. Great work on the image, Lon.

It's cool :) I don't get upset at crits. It's only a picture :) Acually I didn't use any displacment. I usually don't because I prefer to use real mesh over displacment. This image I was trying to see if I could clean up my modeling (keep the poly count down)That's why everything is kind of sharp edged. It still came out 1.3 millon faces. I should have use some displacement. Thanks for all the comments.

This definitely looks like English gothic to me--a manner house found in the country. I'm the LAST person to offer modelling advice, but alot of the sharp feeling from the wall in the foreground would be lessened if you chamfered the edges--and it wouldn't add a huge number to the poly count.

Another great work, Lon. You're giving Thomas Kinkade a run for his money with your unique style. You know, just think how BORING life would be if everything you rendered had to be photorealistic. I take your work for what it is, a great piece of art. And the believability comes from your style. I agree with the comments on displacement, but 1.3 million polys is something you're happy to get rendered at all, unless you have a render farm at your disposal. ;-)
