Thanks everyone. I'm using a 3-year-old P4 1.3 ghz with a gig of ram and a quadro4 900xgl. I made the ship in 2 scenes and merged the 2 for rendering. I could have multirezed the engine and brought the polys down some but I made that part last and it was ready to render so I didn't bother.

looks awsome!! There's a problem though : Battlecruiser = big platform with many heavy guns and heavy armor. Your ship = big platform with no guns and those windows on the side make it an easy kill. If anything I'd call it a trade ship?!?!
