Description

I call it "Lunch of a Camelius Trihoskatofatsius Wobblofootius" Just in, unique never-before-seen of the rare plant, called Fkioro Ahristoullius, attracting a member of the equally rare breed of Trihoskatofatsius Wobblofootius camels! Neither of these plant and animal species have been seen for over 100 years, but they are with us today! This stunningly simple-looking flower is so much more than it seems. It is the lifesource for these camels. It is said to flower only once every 100 years, right in the middle of the desert, against all odds. The nutritious bulb of the flower miraculously provides the C.T.W with enough energy to survive and breed until the next 100 years when this plant is supposed to flower again. This unique meal though is not for anyone. Inside, the bulb contains more toxins than anyone's stomach could handle. It is only after thousands of years of natural evolution that these marvelous creatures have come to adapt to the poison. It does still have effects on them however, in the form of the dark brown patches that are found all over their bodies. It is truly an honour to be witness to these miracles of nature. Andreas Ioannou reporting for Renderosity. Over and out ------------------------------ heheh like my little news report there? I know this won't even scrape the quality of the rest of the entries to this month's contest, but hey, I might at least win something in the beginner's league for the best story used to cover up bad quality of an image ;) I think it's still a work in progress, but I don't know if I want to keep working on it :p However, since this is a "Landscape" contest, I think I'll have to work a bit more on the LANDSCAPE heheh maybe throw a couple of scorions in there somewhere, or a sandstorm or something Lemme know what you think, and please, if you're going to laugh at my picture instead of with it, laugh at the content, not the quality of my 'stunning' modelling and texturing skills :) Creative comments and suggestions for improvement or modification are VERY welcome in this one :)

woo hoo! lol. nice story. Goes perfectly with the image. I love the Camelius Trihoskatofatsius Wobblofootius! That grass came out really nice too. Very cool image. You'll have to teach me how to do that. Good to see you posting again. Keep it up.

SasLite doesn't support shadows unfortunately. You'll have to go with the full blown Sasquatch for that. They don't tell you that when you buy Lightwave though......

As far as I know, Saslite supports shadows. Just use a shadowmap based spotlight and see if it works.

LOL! Good image... but you're right a bit more work on the shadows would really make this even better.
