Mike and Linda Allison have been interested in fractals since 1994, when they bought their first computer. Mike's probably sorry he "discovered" them because he's seen very little of Linda in the past 12 years! :-)
They live in Florida, where Linda grew up, but miss their son, daughter-in-law, and grandbabies, all of whom live in Washington.
:-(
They console themselves by spinning colors and getting lost in the images!

I looked at both side by side and I prefer this image.

Linda, I don't know what negative space it but I really like the dark folds in the upper right half. They provide a nice background for the gold details.

I agree with Marion here, This one has a very nice composition (imho;-)))Love the coloring, and yes, it's a marvelous julia spot!

Both Artworks Are Lovely!
Though If Choosing Between The Two...
Then I Must Say That I Do Prefer The First!
The Do Like The Original Orientation, Even With The Additional Negative Space.

Out of the two, I prefer the first one. Though if I was to change anything I would probably rotate it 90 degrees counter-clockwise :O)

I like both of the images, they are both beautiful, I can't say I like one more than the other!

This beauty is chock-full of light and life.

Both are great each in its own way both rich in colors and filled with great shapes.

Both images are wonderful, detail and colours are perfect :) If I had to choose between the two I'd pick this one because I like the close view of the detail in the spiral top right. How does the image look if you move it down slightly and rotate counter-clockwise?

I think the composition on this one is definitely much better. The other one looks top heavy. The only thing I like better about the other one is that you can see the little Mandy's. But you can't have everything. This one, to me, is the clear winner.

I don't think it's too busy. The complexity gives it a very rich effect,

Oh this is so lovely, rich and elegant

After viewing the two, I prefer this one. I really like the "wings" that look like maple seeds to me. The hints of green are another favorite detail of mine.

Wonderful shapes and colors, Linda! I think the "negative space" sort of works to your favor in this one as it allows for a sense of depth. I, too, like the way this version is presented better. Excellent stuff!

Absolutely beautiful. I find the design and colors so pleasing.

This one - Wonderful clean spines and delicacy of movement of the fireflies. I feel tempted to peer in between to look around the back. Jennyfnf

Hi Linda, I agree with Lulu - both images are wonderful, and I love the close up detail (better depth), and your choice of mixed colors couldn't be more perfect! I definitely like this one better!

The deep maroon is fabulous, gives a sense of a christmassy spirit. Gorgeous!
