Death lingers over head
The body soon to die
Then the spirit will fly
High above the clouds
To be forever free
Not bound to earth or form
In Paradise at last
Reunited to loved ones lost
Never to part again
Protected forever
Safe from Satan
Spirits need not fear
Yet those of body
Must repent
To be protected then
He is the guide to Paradise
Bodies must obey
So spirits have eternity
Watching those of earth
Until their turn is come
To let their spirit free
