Like the new effect - but the water still looks very pixellated for some reason

Like EoinArmstrong said, quite pixellated in the water and around the sun. I don't know what may be the cause of this. Despite that, you made a fine image based on one of my favourite novels. Please do more.

I have to save at a lower resolution in order to keep the image under the 500k limit. Also, I'm using the unregistered version. Would the registered version help?

Great idea and nice image. Hyperion is one of my favourite novels and the river is certainly a good subject (I'd like to see a second gateway visible in the distance within the nested image if that's not being too greedy!) Don't think the pixellation problem is caused by using a registered or unregistered version and it doesn't look like to me like it's due to image compression either. My guess is that it just needs the detail slider moving up to maximum in the rendering window.

Are you a Dan simmon fan? The image is very interesting, but too more pixellated...

I think Hyperion's gates arme more technologic, but you have a nice idea... ;) Where's the Gritch ? :)))

I think there are probably several problems. I agree, you probably don't have the slider all the way over to the right. The slider is under the thumbnail. Also, you need to work on clouds; they look too flat. The clouds don't look natural. It's a good idea, but it needs more developing. The file is actually way larger than it really needs to be, to give a good quality picture. I am thinking the quality wasn't there to begin with. It's a very good idea; keep working on it.

I love Hyperion, and I like very much this image ^_^ It's relaxing

Nice evolution of this scene. I love the scifi theme here! :o) ((yes, go out and get a P200, and get it modded for IR -- you'll love it!))
