Description
This is my first experimental Landscape, here some words how to do it, first
I've create a simple plane with a big cloud with using cloud.itx and render it,
then I've create a plane with a a lots of point 30000 ;-) and now I applique
the brush to the plane, and for the textures I've used three times mnttop.itx,
and for the sky I used the cloud.itx and create this as a point
source/diminishing intensity light source, this is not perfect, but this give a
nice atmospheric look, and I hope you like it too!

Cool man...FYI Ingvar Lybing also made a utility called FractalNoiseMaker(FNM) that also is very useful for generating "cloud" type patterns for use with applique....and it's free here http://www.outtracksystems.com/imagine/ and do a search for utility and FNM, using the upper case enjoy

Needs way more polygons, its way too sharp and jagged. also lose the bad snow texture.

If you have an old Amiga lying around, Fractal Landscape (Aminet) might be handy here, AmiForge is also handy for generating Hightfield Maps, for Appliquing (I'm sure this is a port from the Unix version, so you might find a PC version of Forge. I've just had a quick look, but, I can't find one) or of course VistaPro- which can output DEM files in TDDD format (they are BIG, however. I tried a Large Lanscape 1024x1024 and it was over 10 meg in size- little bit difficult to transfer to a PC- so maybe not such a good idea.)
