This is a close up of my daughter, Tonya, in colored pencils on stonehenge paper. I would love critiques and comments of what you think of this piece. Thanks in advance for viewing. Hugs, Lorraine

I wish I could give constructive advice, but I really have no idea on how to create such images. I really like the eyes though, you've mastered that...hair looks great too.

Thanks yesitis3 and Masema for your comments. Colored pencil is so difficult to get enough layers for a three dimentional looking drawing. My daughter has such pretty eyes that she is usually referred to as "bright eyes". I just had to show them the way they look. Thanks so much for your comments and encouragement. Hugs to you. this is beautiful, i really like it just the way it is... the coloring is perfect... the symmetry is not... but who's face is exactly symmetrical... if anything it adds a lovely innocence to the drawing :] hugz

She's getting more like you every day Lorraine......still a cracker! :) ... Other than the scan being a little off square, i cant see anything else wrong with this. excellent as always. well done

Wonderfully done. As far as critique, I think a bit more shading. Often when working from a photograph that was taken with a flash (and I'm just assuming that), the camera tends to wash out the shadows. Then when you try to paint from that, it has a tendency to need more shadows to make it more 3D again. Still though, I love the expression and the skin tones...
