Description

This pen and ink sketch was done in India ink with a light wash of the ink over the paper to add dark areas and shadows. Then I worked the cougar in the ink with a .005 pen. I would love to hear any comments you may have over this. Thanks for viewing. Hugs, Lorraine

the light behind him adds so much : excellent division of space, with the main stage, second one and background naturally getting melt in the eye, yet fit and separated to the mind. amazing style and just wonderful subject :)

Really dynamite work sis! Just love how you put the lighting in showing off the little hairs from the cougar's fur. You got a lot of detail in there with that .005 pen. The piece puts me right there in the moonlight just watching ever so still and quite.

if a picture is worth a thousand words...this can be compared to an encylopedia. inking is a really difficult technique to master (especially inking fur!) and i salute you :]

Beautiful work Lorraine! Love the way you've back-lit this. I don't know what inking is, but I'm impressed :-)

Masterfully achieved! The lighting and fur are brilliant, but I can't seem to take my eyes away from the rock he's sitting on! The texture looks as if it would sandpaper my fingertips should I touch the screen ;) Thank you so much for creating and sharing this wonderful vision hugs
