Description
Mig 3 report or "News from the Eastern front":
I am still not done with the earlier version which I had previously shown ( pics. # 1 & 2).
Many parts have been rebuilt ( air intakes, louvers, upper front panels, etc), many more have been added.I still plan on finishing it...
before the end of the year.
I have started working on a later Mig 3 version ( pics. # 3 through 7).
There are few but significant differences: wing
slats were added, the engine area was "re-organised" ( simpler too, such as a one-piece
"hood" for the engine, with lever locks), etc.
I guess you can "pick" most of them.
I will leave the back wheel out on this version,
as shown here, as it was often a quick fix for a
disfunctional rear landing gear on this aircraft.
And hopefully, the next time I post anything about Mig 3's, my models will be completed.
Ps:images rendered with BMRT/Rhinoman,un-textured,
and all information concerning the Mig 3 thank's
to Massimo Tessitori's wonderfull research work
on the subject.

All your updates are excellent this is one of the most skillfully crafted Rhino models I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing what Rhino in the right hands is capable of creating, truly way past excellent!!

Such detail! Such scale. This is a superb rendition of the Soviet fighter. Only request: can you do a Brewster Buffalo?

You've really wrung out the volumetrics of this design group. Each detail of a scoop alone shows mastery of boundary layer. Now the internal bracing picks up another finesse of the match of electronic and paper in representing aluminum. Rhino and the rendering form comes out well in your hands.

Brilliant work, you do the best aircraft models I have ever seen. What inspires your choice of subject? Are they just planes that appeal to you or is there an unseen plan that will be clear to all in years to come? Amazing stuf wither way.

You have perfected one of the finest models of an airplane I have ever seen! The time you have spent on detail and blending and fairing all the lines, is a Testimonial to your eye for form and beauty. I admire your ability to stick to the Idea of getting it right even if you have to re-build. You have set a standard of lofty Dimension to aspire to. The path to perfection is only archived by the few who have The fortitude to work hard at there craft, you have the gift. G
