Wonderful image, the details are awesome and I like the light very much!! I guess the rocks are isosurfaces, is the terrain an isosurface too? I'm really glad to see somebody posting a POV-Ray scene here, keep it up!! Have to vote now!

That is a fantastic image for POV-Ray, did you place the rocks manually? I love the tree was it done with povtree or did you make it yourself? Excellent...

Thanks a lot for your comments. Yes the trees were done using povtree1.3. Only the 2 big foreground rocks (the upright one to the left and the one lying down to the right) are isosurfaces. The rest are distributed randomly (with various constraints) from an array of different mesh rocks, using while loops, around several chosen points, then scaled and rotated randomly (again subject to constraints). The terrain is 4 heightfields , 1 for the foreground, 1 for the midground and 2 for distant mountains. I too would like to see a few more POV-Ray pics here. This is my first real pic after learning and testing stuff with POV-Ray.
