Description
Done with the free ray tracer Pov-Ray 3.6, using multiple height fields from World Machine and simple mesh trees from Forester. Render time 50 mins on an athlon 1.8gig, peak memory used 247mb.

You don't have to spend more than 500$ to render ecosystems, with POV-Ray you can do the trick for free! Excellent image and fabulous terrains!
