I've been a 3d "hobby artist" on and off since sometime around 2000 or so. I've never stuck with it long enough to get good or to learn any advanced techniques, but when I do "play around" I have fun.
I also started messing around with vector drawing, as I can't really draw. Using vector allows me to utilize shape deformation and tweaking to create my scenes.
As of right now, July 2018, I'm working hard toward a goal I've had for a decade plus, and that is to make physical card, dice and board games for adults as well as animations and some simple video games. To that end, I'm developing my own characters in vector. The style is simplistic but I believe it will be really good once I have several items completed.

It seems un antialiased, maybe it's that sharpen filter...looking good otherwise!

excellent Cal... if you distance fog the back dragons.. maybe a little ground fog about the skeleton..it'd be perf... Cheers

Curio, I think it is the sharpen filter...although I did only use a medium level antialias. Once I get the scene right I will go full out on that. Wiz, as for the fog, I really think you are right...I just have such a hard time with getting fog to look right...but I will work on it tonight. Thanks for the comments and encouragement, both of ya. :)

Excellent so far! Looking forward to seeing the final version!

Cool picture, Eryk. Put some more anti-aliasing on it and lay off the "sharpen"! If you have the time to wait, you might want to render it in Ultra. I would up the terrain resolution a little bit more, and work on the bumps some. As for fog, well, it takes some getting used to, but start with some very small values. Vue 3's fog kinda sucks, IMHO, but that's only in terms of "ease of use", and it can be done, but with a whole lot of experimenting. Ambient/sunlight mixtures seem to have a good bit to do with how the fog works too. LIke I said, very small values at first. Otherwise, really neat composition. :)

thanks dglidden and Mike. :) I will render it in ultra for the final, for sure and will try the things you mentioned Mike...hanks for all your help!!
