Description
She steps into the great hall of the Vixen Temple. Almost six weeks have passed since she was last here. The building feels alien, dream-like, as though her memories of it were mere fantasies, made real again by the undeniable feeling of hard stone under her feet.
She's alone now, but no less determined. A Vixen will be rescued tonight...

The guards are unarmed on purpose. Really Sinistra uses them as keepers rather than guards, to make sure all the girls are kept safe and that no harm comes to them. It's a morale/perception thing - she wants the girls to feel "looked after", rather than being held prisoner under armed guard. Only in extreme circumstances does she require them to take up weapons. Generally, she calls on her daughter Lucistra or her bounty hunter Ellen (now dead) for any "dirty work". All will be revealed soon!
