It looks more like a cathedral than an attic. I don't understand your lighting as well (looks like a glassless stained glass setup). The concept is interesting, though

Big fancy building, big fancy attic. I am not sure what you mean about the lighting. essentially, in a dim room with stained glass, with outside light at a low angle a bit off perpendicular, you get an effect called caustics. Hence the stained glass look of the light hitting the floor.
