Description

This image is the Illustration for an Ad created for one of our clients. The ad has run in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and a variety of other pubs in the US and Europe. It is one of my favorite images. It was created with Maya and Photoshop. One thing I want to mention is that this image does not really use Maya the way we generally see it used on this website. I tend to use maya as more one of the tools in getting to a finished image and less the goal of the image itself. Which is to say the perfect 3d image with depth etc, that looks ultra real, or stylized, or whatever. Call it the "perfect Maya image". Maya embraces a literally unlimited number of options. It is an amazing toll for creating art, not just a 3d animation (and modeling) system. Hence the name "Maya" peace m,

I love it! Is the figure the only 3d part of the image? Love the colors

Like the paintery quality to this. The contrast of the arms of the figure does draw the eye's focus - without being so overpowering that the eye is kept from wandering around the rest of the scene.

Beautiful! This is definitely the coolest image I've seen that involved Maya!
