Description

I was going through a old deserted barn when I found this on the floor. The back said "The kids and I are having the time of our lives. We love this place, Too bad you had to work. I love you." I could just make out the date May 1941. The picture was old and sun faded from laying there all these years. No mention of where this was. Then I started thinking about it. Looks and sounds like the Husband missed a great summer with the wife and kids. You start wondering what happened to them, did they ever go back to that spot as a family? Did the Mother and kids ever have that much fun again? Maybe the husband got drafted in WW2. Maybe they never had a vacation again! Wonder how the Card got here and how long it has lain in the sun? Strange how a faded picture will bring back memories that aren't even yours.

Great concept superbly realised. Excellent narrative, creates a brilliant mood (could've called it memories) - really does look like a sun faded postcard. Excellent.
