Description
A coyote stops as he hears something. This old Ghost Town has been a favorite haunt for him and the ones before him. Man comes and goes from this place but Mr. Coyote stays as the hunting is good.
Dolomite: This ghost town mined not Silver or Gold. It mined Dolomite. (Limestone)
Dolomite was named after the minerals that were mined there. Located at the southern tip of the Inyo Mountains, there are still several buildings standing today, including the saloon. Some current mining activity has been reported.
The town was big enough to have a RR going through it. You can still see the tracks where the sand has not buried them.
This is the start of my Ghost town series.
I have lat and lon for them on the DEM's, so placement will be with-in 10 ft
