Description

My very first fully painted image. I finally worked up the courage to try this!! No reference used. I spent alot of time on this one, mostly trying to get it perfect but I think I over blended her. Any suggestions on how to get the skin more realistic would be greatly appreciated!! Here is a close up of the skin Skin Detail Next one should be better...............Probably..............maybe! All the anatomy studies I have been doing in graphite definitely paid off here. Also the hair was so difficult to create in Painter. And boy do I miss my wacom =( Created in Painter using a mouse! Enjoy ^_^

I really donot make it look real i did in the past but can not upload here on this site. plus I donot paint ...but i would cut the skin out and try to use [the adjust tint or the hue and saturation filters that is what they are called on my program yours will have it too just called diff] to get the tones i wish for. this is a good start

I can't believe you did this with a MOUSE! Here all along I thought you were using a wacom, so this is incredible considering that. As for the skin tones, one book that really made a difference to me is Oil Painting Secrets from a Master by Linda Cateura... all about the painting secrets of David Leffel. THey cover everything in there, including skin tones, what colours to put in shadows and highlights, etc. It's incredible!!

What a beautiful portrait! Your painting is superb, I also like the contrast of the dark hair over her skin tones. Awesome work!
