Description
A Hawk swoops down on a scorpion, not his normal food. but there are no Mickie D's out here and you eat what you can, when you can.
A Desert Wash, 2 broken down wagons and 2 skeletons tell the story pretty good.
What happen to put them here is altogether different, yet a too familiar story.
Starts out in St Louis like all other wagon trains. But these 2 wagons were only going half way.
They peeled off from the Wagon train just south of where Blanding Utah in now located.
3 days later they were out of water. Driver fell asleep and the horse pulled the wagon down the side breaking the wheels.
They turned the horse's lose hoping they would lead them to water. The Husband followed them. 4 days later he still had not returned.
Here they are now. Waiting to be discovered. It's hot out here not a place for a tenderfoot to be alone.

I have spent many weeks in Blanding, Utah over the years. An excellent take off point for many great places to see. Frank, this is another of your best works...this is a 'keeper'...'V'.
