Description
The ruins of the first abbey are right beside the news and 14 century date. The abbey had been destroyed at the time of the French revolution in 1789.The French border is only with four kilometers and Orval depended on the abbey of Cluny which it was in France .

Absolutely marvelous shot, it look at movie decor, we wait "Gandalf" or some other...I prefer this side of "Orval" !

J'ai tendance prer cet aspect de l'abbaye. Par contre, je trouve le ciel un peu curieux : il fait un peu "pie rapport (abus de photoshopature ?) Au fait ! il y a bien un Orval en France (ol'on fait du fromage mais pas de bie !) une trentaine de kilomres au sud de Bourges.
