"Have a great night"? Very powerful work and like your best, somewhat disturbing but thought provoking. The in-between state, between life and death, between heaven and hell, between death and resurrection, could be any of these. To me it represents our current state, like Dylan said, "he not busy being born is busy dieing". The fancy graveyard monument on one side and the grass and shrubbery of the living on the other and this young lady, like us, somewhere between the two. Very excellent work.

Sometimes art touches deep. Deep with what we carry around in us and try not to let come to our lips. Ok, maybe its a guy thing. Barbara your image does this to me. Wonderful job! -jay

Redbeard put it rather well.... Also- I just love the anticipation on waiting for a new image from you to load on my screen, this one was startling ! A disturbing image to be going to bed with now, but for me she is going towards her wings ,so thats OK really.

Jeez Barbara this is twisted!! Scary even!! That girl is terrifying! I love the symbol of the crow here which gives a very clear message to me even if the first impression is kind of repulsive because of the girl! Then, when I saw the details, I had a different impression and that one tells a story...the story of a girl who just died and is still attached to her body...maybe she doesn't know that she's dead yet...very imaginative as usual Barbara! :)

I've never seen such thought and detail put into photo manipulations and it both fascinates and awes me. There is so much detail and depth in your work, and raw emotion.... like scattered pieces of a puzzle and a strange and beautiful poetry all at once.
