I definitely like the deep canyon feel - H2O is too red IMHO - strata layers are good, just need to soften them a bit. Atmo, tho reddish is masterfully done!

great work! I think that thinner strata would look more natural so you could make your strata bitmap some 4 times 'taller' duplicating what you've got - some vertical rotation might be necessary to avoid visible repetitions :)
