Description

Olympic National Park, Kalaloch, Washington I have plenty more underawater images, but thought it was time for a change of pace. This pair of sea otters were in a tide pool, I had to wade almost waist deep in the cold Pacific ocean for this picture, and my tripod smelled like the tide came in for 6 months. Nikon N90, Nikon 300mm f/4 with Nikon 1.4 converter ( effective focal length of 420mm) Gitzo tripod with Arca Swiss B-1 ball head, Fuji Vevlia slide film.

Lovely mischevious animals. Well caught too, worth a smelly tripod!

My brother kept telling me to take my tripod apart and get rid of the smell, every time I extended the legs salt would come out, but it's ok now. A little FYI, kalaloch is pronounced Klay-lock.
