Description
The old stage station and barn stand almost hidden by the sagebrush and cactus.
A Hawk sits on top of the saguaro. Looking for lunch.
At one time the Butterfield Stage used to come through here 3 times a week.
Wyatt Earp and his brothers, Johnny Ringo, the Clantons, they all came through here.
It was supposed to be more or less a neutral zone, but one time it wasn't. This is where Wyatt Earp caught up to Curly Bill Brocius and a few of his boys on March 22 1882. After a long shoot out Curly Bill was dead.
Sometimes when things are right you can hear the sounds of the stage station, horses being unhitched and a new team hitched up. Maybe even the gun fight, at least that what some have said.
Tg and PSP for post.
