Description

Bonaire, Netherland Antilles The Peacock Flounder is able to change not only the color of its skin, but also the texture. They can make the blue color completly disappear, and change the skin texture to match the sand they normally hide in. I was lucky as this one landed on some coral, and gave me a nice showing of its wonderful blue color. A very strange looking but beautiful fish.

Reminds me of the Blue-Ringed octopus with the electric blue patterning. Love your undersea series.

Mysterious and exotic - mesmerised by the intensity of the colour and the complexity of the patterning
