Description
Along the Skagit river in Wa state is a spot called Eagle Alley. Every Spring the Eagles gather to fish the waters. . On average there will be appox 450 Eagles at any one time. Most ever counted here was 1312 back in 2000. This will last for about a fortnight, then they fly off to their individual hunting grounds.
They renew old friendships and gossip. Many will sit in the same trees they did last year. How do we know this? It is due to the Game dept tagging and tracking the birds.
This is a major event that draws people from all over the world to witness and photograph.
It is a majestic event.
