Description
The "Boy's" have found another waterhole. The plants show that this is a permanent source of water. Good for all year.
They got here by chance.
Once the Stallion had a herd of 17. The Men on horses and in Helicopters chased them into a Box Canyon. Trapping them. The Stallion and the few left jumped the fence. They ran like the wind with the men giving chase. The men finally stopped, leaving the Stallion in a unknown area.
He smelled the air to discover his new surrounding. Then he caught it, the scent of water.
They followed the scent to a narrow split in the canyon walls. Leary of going into another trap the leader went in 1st. Finding it safe he called the "boy's" in. Not the best water and not much food but survival just the same.

Very nice work on this one! The horses (boys) are so pretty and I can hear the hooves clicking as they run and the snorting and baying sounds as they express their joy of finding this water. A very fine scene Frank, enjoyed the story too! V :)

Almost once a week, I pass the Gila river south of Phoenix. Sometimes, I am lucky enough to see the wild horses in this area. Frank, you work is truly unique as are your narratives. This work is very beautiful...bringing nature and these wonderful animals together. Excellent artistry!
