Description

A month ago we got word a new planet was heading into our solar system. Yes that's right heading into.. It seemed to show a atmosphere or at less a small one. Info coming in suggest a dead or dieing planet. They estimate it has traveled over 50 billion miles. Bad thing is that it is heading for Earth. It won't hit but it will be close enough to maybe effect our orbit. They sent me and the crew to land, check out and then send it back out of our solar system. Everything went A-ok. We landed before she reached Mars. After 2 days of getting samples we ran into a minor problem. As I stand on the ridge looking at that minor problem, I don't know what to do. Everything I knew, maybe a lie. We only have 6 hrs left before we have to set the charges that will turn this puppy around and send it back to where it came from. Do we tell anyone? Do we dare say even a word to our leaders? There are 4 of us. I know they will abide by one decision I look up at Mars and I also see Earth. If the rest of the world finds out about this it will become complete chaos.. It's better they don't know. Now lets hope the 4 of us can keep the worlds biggest secret. TG and PSP for post.

Ok nobody is getting it. The ruins are Stonehenge, the 1st Stonhenge. Not the one on Earth. This is why the Title "Secrets" and the Secret the 4 Astronauts have to keep.

Great story! Wonderful image to go with it, a perfect fit. I see the bit about Stonehenge, but if you hadn't pointed it out, I would have missed it, too. :(

hehe, excellent work Frank - I spotted Stonehenge straight away, but maybe that's 'cos I live in Britain anyway. This is one excellent sci-fi pic, great work with the planets - and wonderful story. I'm giving this one a vote for originality (as well as a great pic.) - think it's a very profound statement, that questions our very origins - and questioning is what art's all about! V

You must listen to 'Coast to Coast' also. You have done a marvelous job here; both on the narrative and on this excellent composition!
