Description

You wander around and you always see old stumps. Don't think much about them. Some of these stumps are 100's of years old. Here we have a old stump, spider web, moss growing on it. Useless.. I wonder what this stump or any stump has been witness to? "Saw a wagon train come through in 1867, all were killed by drought. This is were Jesse James set up the Northfield bank robbery. To the left is where Teddy Roosevelt decide to make Yellowstone the 1st National Park. Right over there Beth and John shared their 1st kiss. That's the spot that flood of 1910 took over 200 lives. There used to be a road over there but the state moved it 3 miles. Larry lost everything in the crash of 29 and shot himself under my branches. Jim, Harry and Lou had a beer bust here before they went off to WW2. Bobby broke his leg when he tried to climb me. The kids loved me because I gave them apples. There used to be a swing set there for kids to play on. Mary cried her heart out when her Dad died. The Box brothers buried the loot from the bank right over there.." Just old stumps you say. Maybe these are just some of the thingsstumps have been witness to, Stumps from all over America and the world. TG and psp

Very good Postwork - I am just missing the shadows. The tree fits very very good into the landscape which has a beautyful .srf!

Wonderful story! I like the way your moss exactly matches your grass, and I like the image in general. I am particularly fond of tree stumps, rotten tree trunks, or any other kind of natural old wood in the wild. One of these years, I'll even do some postwork with this one old tree I found, when I get the picture scanned. So right now, it's a delight to see you run with the idea.

Wow! That pw fits right in (barring shadows, which shouldn't be too pronounced anyway)! Lovely mood, colours and pov too!

Gotta admit, I though the tree stump was a dragon when I looked at the thumb (lol) - that's one interesting shape. Superb work on the textures, that grass looks so real with the bare patches. Gotta agree with A.D., this is probably your best Terragen yet - you've outdone yourself Frank.

I'm in agreement with Simon; your surface work is exquisite as is your post work. Your storyline is very good.
