Description
I don't know how you see them, but this is how I see the buttes in Monument Valley.
I see a everlasting glow. It's there during the day, but it really shines at night.
To see it you have to really love the desert and all that it brings to us.
The breath taking scenes as well as the waste lands. The color changes as well as the drab.
The Animals and birds, friends and foes.
There is nothing like the Desert and Arizona excels in this beauty.
Maybe, just maybe southern Utah can come close but close doesn't count.
As Rex Allen Jr said in his song, " I Love You Arizona"

I know exactly what you mean Frank...I have seen it too. Viewing these monoliths as the sun disappears below the horizon is a religous experience. Masterful work...gorgeous picture.
