Description

I needed to get away for awhile. Tossed the dart at the map. I saw I had hit a pretty isolated spot in the Cascades. Well it would be a hard climb and I am getting older. Guess I should learn to aim better. Had to park the truck 2 miles from my "dart point." It was a nice easy hike until I came to the bottom of the Mountain. I knew I was in for a time. Really over grown with "Wait-a-minute" bushes and tree fall traps. It took the better part of the day to hit the 1st ridge at about 4,000 ft. As I topped the ridge I saw the most beautiful water fall. The 1st snow was still clinging to the cliffs. I sat down and gazed at the spectacular view nature provided for me. I could see a few deer down in the valley and Grouse zipping through the trees. Camp Jays and many other birds. It wasn't a huge valley but was very dense in trees. Watching the water and anything that caught my eye I knew I would not go any higher. I would spend my reflection time here. I spent a week here and never did see any sign that anyone else had been here, I left it the same way.
